While a crate might seem like a cell to you, it can be a haven for your dog when he is trained properly.
Puppies are cute, but they can be a lot of work. They need training and often near-constant attention, which is perfect for some families & individuals, but you may want to have a calmer, quieter experience with your pet. Adopting an older dog can be the answer.
Whether you send your dog to school or train him at home, consistency is the key to good behavior.
